Henry is a two year old Aussie mix. He is a very special dog that helps children at school with reading, patience, and kindness. He was found and rescued from an Indian Reservation in Gallop New Mexico. Henry currently lives in the suburbs of Denver Colorado with his handler Patti. He is a graduate of the HABIC (Human- Animal Bond In Colorado) , received his Pups on Patrol certification from the Denver Police Department, and works with PAWS reading program to inspire and help struggling readers in the Denver Metro area.
Life was not always easy for Henry. When he was rescued he was fearful of people and did not believe he could find a forever home and a purpose. Through consistent positive reinforcement and a group of supportive people that believed in him, Henry began his journey in helping others to fulfill their potential.
Henry is passionate about being a life long learner and reader. He loves to listen to books that are read to him, and he loves to spread the message to struggling readers that they too can go from learning to read to reading to learn.
